Symbolsmith is built so your work stays yours. This page explains what the app does and does not collect.

Your files stay on your device

Symbolsmith converts every SVG locally on your Mac, iPhone, or iPad. Your artwork is never uploaded to us or to any third party. The conversion engine runs entirely on your device.

What we collect

Nothing personal. Symbolsmith has no account system and no login. It does not collect your name, email address, IP address, device identifiers, or any usage analytics.

iCloud sync

If you are signed in to iCloud, your symbol library can sync across your devices. This uses Apple's CloudKit and your own private iCloud database. The data lives in your iCloud account, governed by Apple's privacy policy. We never see it and we operate no servers of our own. You can turn iCloud off for the app in your system settings at any time.

Purchases

If you buy Symbolsmith or any in-app purchase, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store under its own privacy policy. We never receive or store your payment information.

Analytics and tracking

Symbolsmith includes no third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking pixels. No crash or usage data is sent to us.

Children

Symbolsmith is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new revision date.
